Hey….excellent receipe. Cant wait to try it. One question though….can i replace cream with buttermilk….or would that be a separate receipe. Thank u!

Jessica Hernandez · April 15, 2019 at 11:19 pm

I made two of these and they are delicious but….. my topping keeps sinking into the bread! What am I doing wrong???

Glen & Friends Cooking · April 15, 2019 at 11:19 pm

Ha, ha, ha – Coffee cake as this style of cake as been traditionally called… doesn't contain coffee. It was what you served when you had friends over for coffee.
So no Jessica Lewis, if you were looking for a cake that has coffee in it – this is not the recipe for you.

Er… Coffee?

GirlWithABowTie · April 15, 2019 at 11:20 pm

I love it! Yum, this certainly will grace the tea table this weekend!

🙁 it is very difficult getting vanilla beans here. I hope vanilla extract won't be too much of a difference. Love the topping!
