Nisa, I am a regular watcher of your videos. After watching them, I too have become a 'deewani' of things organic, and try to incorporate them as much as I can. Thank you for your interesting experiments in various cuisines. Could you please tell me what the size of the cast iron tawa, that you have used for akki roti, is? Another question, isn't A2 ghee a bit too expensive? I believe that you were referring to the Amore Earth product.

Komal Obhan · June 13, 2019 at 5:43 pm

Can we use with oats powder instead of rice powder??

Kshitij S · June 13, 2019 at 5:43 pm

This recipe goes much near to Maharastrian dish called 'thaalipith'. But thaalipith is made with different flours of different cereals /millets to bring in the health and taste benefits. It's eaten with curd/ Marathi pickles. I would suggest bajra/jwar/raagi flour instead of rice flour in this recipe, especially for western and North Indians.

manavi puligal · June 13, 2019 at 5:43 pm

We make this all the time at home. You can also make this with raagi. One of the best breakfast dishes. You can use banana leaf instead of the wet towel.

Sree Ami · June 13, 2019 at 5:43 pm
