How to cook Toad in the Hole… AKA Eggs in a basket… A fried bread and egg classic. Melt a knob and add half a tablespoon of olive oil to the pan, use fresh eggs, and your favourite sliced bread, I would recommend Batch bread myself, use a narrow glass to cut the hole in your bread. Make sure the pan is nice and hot before adding the bread. My Daughters asked me to put this one up as they love it… And also to see if there is any other egg dishes you want me to share with you, or traditional Irish dishes or anything you’re having trouble with in the kitchen . Thanks for all the support on the poached eggs video! Will do more soon. Frank.

We call this Toad in the Hole in Texas also. I enjoy watching you cook! How about something very Irish?

Ha good stuff. You should cook Clonard Stue next 😉

In our family, this was called "One-Eyed Egyptian Sandwich." I have no idea why. Made just the way you've made it, and looked just the same. I was never dead keen on runny yolks, but there was enough bread to sop, so all was well.
I'd love to see your version of Colcannon.

Ha ha, Frank you're a legend. I love cooking for my kids too, but getting them to help is the hard part! Great video again, although I thought toad in the hole was sausages in yorkshire pudding?! I'd like to see more videos, I like the little tips and tricks with the glasses. Cheers.

Definitely would like to see any more egg dishes – do you know anything with egg and cheese?

Love it. Will give that a try. Be great with a full Irish beside it like you say. Keep up the good work.

Hi Mr. Frank,
Yes I do this toad in the hole.
My mom would serve with dice hot link on the side and fry dice potatoes sprinkle with cheese your choice. Very delicious combo. So I haven't seen anyone do this on YouTube. It is very appreciated.
