How to cook sirloin steak with mushroom sauce.

Sirloin steak is tender, succulent, indulgent and quick to prepare. You can use a less expensive cut, such as ribeye or rump, if you prefer, but make sure not to overcook! Perfect with spinach, potato, and a condiment! To add a gentle but flavorsome touch, while cooking the steak you can brush a knob of butter on the steak, a garlic clove, fresh thyme or rosemary! Steak is also delicious to cook on a BBQ!

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 45 minutes
– Two potatoes
– Two skewers
– Drizzle of paprika
– Drizzle of garlic
– Vegetable oil
– Half an onion (chopped)
– Good amount of salt
– Pepper
1)Place the potatoes in the middle of the skewer. 2) As you turn the skewer, use a knife to follow through at an angle. 3) Gently separate the spiral slices. 4) Get a tray and it cover with a good amount of vegetable oil and half your onion. Place the skewers onto the tray and cover the oil on the skewers. 5) Add a good amount of paprika, garlic granule powder and salt on each side along with pepper. Blend ingredients in and place in the oven for 45 minutes until cooked and golden brown

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 8 minutes
– 50g of butter
– 100g of white mushrooms
– 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
– 1 finely chopped shallot onion
– 1 spring onion
– Cup of single cream (150ml)
– 1tbs of brandy
– 1tsp of chicken stock
– Salt and pepper (season to please)
1)In a pan put 50g of butter (melt) 2) Add your garlic, shallot, onion and white mushrooms to the melted butter. Stir until golden! 3) Add a cup of single cream, brandy, chicken stock, salt and pepper to the mushrooms. Put to boil and then reduce the heat and leave to cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened.

PREP TIME: A few minutes
COOK TIME: Depending on how you like your steak. For a thicker medium rare steak approx. 6 mins
– Good quality thick Stirlon Steak
– Olive oil
– Good amount of salt
– Pepper (season to please)
IMPORTANT! Make sure the steak is left aside for at least 40 minutes!
RARE: 120-125F
MEDIUM: 140-145F
WELL DONE: 160F and above
1)Cover the steak on each side with olive oil, a good amount of salt and pepper.
2)The steak is now seasoned! Get a pan and add a small amount of olive oil on a medium/high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the steak to the pan and fry for around 2 and a half/3 minutes on both side (depending on the thickness). Once you turn over the steak, you can feel if the steak needs more cooking by the palm method or with a thermometer. 3) Once the steak is cooked, leave aside to rest between 4- 10 minutes (depending how big the steak is!). I left mine to rest for around 4 minutes!

PREP TIME: A few minutes
COOK TIME: 4-5 minutes
– Knob of butter
– 60g of spinach
– Drizzle of garlic gradual powder
– 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
– 100ml of single cream
– 1tsp of soy sauce
– Salt and pepper (season to please)
1) In a hot pan, place a knob of butter and melt (medium heat). 2) Once the butter has melted add the garlic gradual powder and garlic cloves. 3) Once the garlic turns fragrant, add the spinach and stir until tender! 4) Finally add single cream, Soy Sauce, salt and pepper to the pan and mix until all combined and thickened.
