Foods You Won’t Find in Italy. In Italy, the parmigiana treatment is given to Eggplants, not Chicken or other meats. It always happen in Countries with no history&culture ! They need to steal from the others and change since they don't have an identity themselves… consequently no pride and the impossibility to understand the others … You have it in restaurants called Italians Rest. in YOUR Country!!! Definitely NOT in Italy!!! Was it that hard to understand?
– 3 aubergines (eggplant)
– 500 gr of tomato sauce (1 garlic clove and 1 onion + 4 tbs olive oil)
– 100 gr of chopped up fresh basil
– 3 mozzarella cheese
– 150 gr of parmigiano reggiano

My ancestors are from Sicily ( island of Italy). There, chicken parm is a breaded (yes we use panko as well) and fried chicken cutlet, then topped with mozzarella and baked in the oven. You can add marinara sauce to it if you like, which my family does. Chicken marinara there is a pan seared chicken breast topped with sliced tomatoes and mozzarella then baked in the oven. If you're a true Italian, always add fresh basil!

In my country (Argentina) this is a very popular dish. It is called "milanesas a la napolitana". The only difference is that the bread crumbs are used alone, that is, without parmisan cheese. Excellent video!!!
