Now I'm thinking about Emmy and family sitting down to eat this chicken for dinner and the amazement of her kid(s?) When she tells them she cooked it with rocks lol. Incredible! 💚💚💚

Another awesome video by Emmy the cutest and funniest Youtuber. Thank you Emmy for being the awesomeness you are. I love your channel and you even inspire me to cook more. You are very helpful. ❣😎🥰🤗🙋‍♀️☮☺ I am going shopping tomorrow morning and I needed inspiration for meal ideas. Chicken will be perfect and I can make a nice dinner for my man. He loves my cooking so much he's always asking me for food. Haha! I got nothing until tomorrow. 😁❣

Here in New Zealand, my people (the indigenous people of New Zealand, called Maori) have something slightly similar to this, they would dig a hole in the ground and heat up rocks on the bottom of the pit. They’d wrap meat and vegetable in leaves then put more hot rocks on the top and bury it and leave it for hours til cooked. It’s called a hāngi and is a traditional way of cooking still used today, but mainly for special events. 🙂 It’s very delicious.

Ashley McCoy · February 15, 2020 at 8:49 am

This looks like it would work perfectly in a dutch oven or other large heat resistant vessel if you didn't want to waste foil!

Beth Razz · February 15, 2020 at 8:49 am

Sitou Dien · February 15, 2020 at 8:49 am

There's a chinese dish called Beggar's Chicken. The chicken is wrapped with foil just like Emmy's and then covered in clay mud. Then it's cooked in a open fire.

RV SERIOUS ??!!?? · February 15, 2020 at 8:49 am

Hikers and Campers know this as "Backpack Chicken". In the morning. You take the rocks out of the breakfast campfire wrap the chicken up in foil and plenty of layers of newspapers. Place in in a backpack. Carry your chicken with you on day of exploring/hiking. Eat it for a late lunch.

George Skelton · February 15, 2020 at 8:49 am
