Our Bisaya chicken humba recipe is a wonderful easy Filipino chicken recipe for dinner. A Humba recipe is a sweeter version of Adobo and originates from the Visayas and Mindanao Islands of the Philippines.
The ingredients for my Chicken humba with sprite / 7up are:
1 kg Chicken thighs
300 ml Sprite or 7UP
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup dark soy sauce
1 large onion, sliced thinly
2 bay leaves
6 cloves of garlic, chopped
pinch of ground black pepper
1tbsp sesame seeds for the topping ( optional)
